Aww, that's sad

I just found out that the lead singer of the band, Boyzone, that played our wedding song has passed away.

Our wedding song meant a lot to me. We had to face a lot of obstacles in order to get together and the lyrics in this song really spoke to me. Our biggest obstacle was religious, my family and my church wanted me to marry within my religion and I knew that by choosing to pursue a relationship with Prince Charming I was taking a big leap of faith. But I also knew that no matter what they thought and no matter what they said, this felt right, he was the one that was meant for me. Prince Charming's family were under the impression that we moved to fast, that we rushed into things. They couldn't understand that in order to be together we couldn't do this casually, because of my religion we had to jump in with both feet or to just walk away, we had to decide if the battle was worth the victory. I have always known that it was. And to top it all off my best friend was giving us a hard time because although she was engaged to someone else, she had a history with Prince Charming and kind of wanted to keep him as her back-up plan or the one who pined his life away waiting for her.

When I heard the lyrics, especially "No matter what they tell you, No matter what they do, No matter what they teach you, What you believe is true" and "No matter what the end is, My life began with you. I can't deny what I believe, I can't be what I'm not, I know, I know, I know this love's forever, That's all that matters now, No matter what"

Here is our wedding song:

No Matter What
Boyzone Andrew Lloyd Webber (music)/Jim Steinman(lyrics)

No matter what they tell us
No matter what they do
No matter what they teach us
What we believe is true

No matter what they call us
However they attack
No matter where they take us
We'll find our own way back

I can't deny what I believe
I can't be what I'm not
I know I'll love forever
I know, no matter what

If only tears were laughter
If only night was day
If only prayers were answered
Then we would hear God say

No matter what they tell you
No matter what they do
No matter what they teach you
What you believe is true

And I will keep you safe and strong
And sheltered from the storm
No matter where it's barren
A dream is being born

No matter who they follow
No matter where they lead
No matter how they judge us
I'll be everyone you need

No matter if the sun don't shine
Or if the skies are blue
No matter what the end is
My life began with you

I can't deny what I believe
I can't be what I'm not
I know, I know
I know this love's forever
That's all that matters now
No matter what

It is sad. I heard about it today but haven't yet heard what happened. It's a beautiful wedding song.
